On Monday, March 1, police said that sometime early on Sunday, Feb. 28, Thomas W. Driscoll, 57, of Chicopee died from head and neck injuries sustained in a homicide, according to U.S. News and World Report.

It is not clear why Driscoll was attacked on the strip near Caesar’s Palace, the Bellagio, and Bally’s.

According to police, the alleged assailant Brandon Marcus Leath, 33, of Nevada, yelled something at Driscoll and a woman on a pedestrian bridge. He followed them, met them at the bottom of an escalator, and attacked Driscol, who collapsed to the ground after being punched, US News reported.

The incident was caught on camera, police said. Leath has since been arrested and charged with murder, according to EyeWitnessNews3
